I've had more than one request for this and since I had a few hours while sitting on my butt waiting for my Dodge engine to show up I thought I would fill the time by making this video for you. I have to say that after the first edit I wasn't too happy and went back and reshot not once but twice and even then I still felt I didn't cover it the way I liked. I should really start scripting these videos, it would make my life soo much easier. Anyway don't be too rough on me if you have differing opinions as I'm willing to accept them in the comments if you are nice about it but if your going to tear me a new one then please make a video of your own explaining why as at least then we will be on the same playing field.

Stay dirty

  • can u try a V6 or V8 engine?

  • Great video. Thank you.

  • I wish I had seen this video years ago. This is just perfect.

Do you have a video explaining the difference between torque and horsepower?

  • An excellent video. Well done. :)

  • liked it very much.. keep up the good work :)

  • @FaceManPeck1 A drive shaft is just that, a shaft that drives. A drive train is the whole chain of components taking drive from A to B, and it might include drive shafts, gears, chains, CV or universal joints, clutches or even components driven by hydraulics. A shaft is just a shaft, a train is a linked series of components.

  • whats the difference between a drive shaft and a drive train

  • Thank you so much for this video. It taught me how they work better than what I could learn on my own.

  • make more of these dissecting engines videos. it very informational and you are very good at explaining complicated stuff to people with no mechanical experience...GOOD JOB!
