I'm back after a long beak. Thank God HBR got rid of that blonde interviewer. I never found ANY of her interviews as engaging as this one.

I thought you might find this of interest. Traditionally women ran the 'tribes.' They were also the storytellers. So women do have the potential and capacity of vision yet they are compelled in modern society towards the detail. Bit of a psychic struggle isn't it. Begs the question of whether we are hot-wired according to gender or is this more a cultural phenomena.

Details tend to belong to the lowest level employees. Big picture belongs to the high level employees. Zooming is going to cross hierarchical lines. Bosses can get away with micro-managing an employee but not the reverse. Everyone wants to promote their self interest. Managers are mostly concerned with feathering their nest, better compensation and career advancement. The big picture is that your boss want to take credit for success and blame failure on others, like those detail people.

Very interesting,
The problem that arises is ,witnessing power plays by ALPHA males making decisions not for the benefit of the company but for their own power and status.
Managing this for people who are very bright is confidence destroying.
Asking Why 5 times can destroy a promising career.
Gazing...

Bodies moving...
A chemical reaction...
Exhilarating enchantment...
Capturing divine moments...
Now facing the music...
