  • It's so sad that musicians who've always played in the parks for pure enjoyment of the art...must now pay an astronomical fee to play rhythm guitar (quietly) in various 'public' parks in Philadelphia. They will be fined without this license! Thanks Mike Nutter for helping restore and continue our arts programs in the great city of Philadelphia!!

  • ..and as famous as Philly Soul and Jazz are around the world, why don't we have a museum of Philly Musical Culture... New Orleans does much more to promote their homegrown talent than we do ! ! !

  • There is plenty of art and culture in Philly. Wherever you go in the world you meet Philly musicians who had to flee Philly, but take pride in being Philadelphians.... further, here in Japan (where I now live) people revere Philly for its contributions to Jazz and Soul. I'd like to see a program to bring back some of the artists who had to flee the city!

I'd like to see a program specifically aimed at retaining as well as attracting back local talent!
