Abysal Persecutor is $25 b/c in competetive magic, you play the 6/6 flyer for 2BB. after beating your opponent down to 0, you kill him with any kind of removal (mainly "jund stuff") : maelstrom pulse, terminate, etc.

ya i had a talk with my card shop guy. Granted in professional play its probably really good. I'm just speaking from a casual players perspective.
