@dogeatsock I would try to replace the crash hits. You can use one from a spot in the song where the drummer just hits a crash and lets it ring. Like a transition point or maybe the end of the song, or if you still have the crash, sample it and overlay it in mix where it sounds weird. Without seeing how bad the problems are, it's hard to give a better answer than that. If the timing issues are really bad, maybe take the time to redo the performance on something like superior drummer or BFD.

I I am editing a pop song, and numerous times in my song I have a crash hit with the beat coming in right after. There are timing issues in the kick, snare and highhat tracks immediately following this crash hit. How do I fix these timings in the kick, snare and highhat without altering the sound of that residual crash hit? When I do beat detective on all the tracks, that residual crash hit has a ton of little cross fades in it and sounds strange. How do you get around this??

@joshmc333 Agreed, still trying to work out getting audio into Screenflow. Unfortunately, my hardware doesn't support this.

Good info but the mouth noises and plosives drove me crazy!!! Your audio tutorials would have more credibility if the audio was actually good.

@leightonmusik During that video I was using PT8LE. You need the music production tool kit to use multiple tracks in Beat Detective. In Protools 9, I believe multitrack beat detective is standard. If you haven't already upgraded, do so, well worth the price.

Very nice torial spot on!!! not too much time consuming and yet we get the message. I have a question what version of protools do you have is it LE? I have been trying to use beat detective do seperate multi track drum but the sensitivity only marking one track not all the tracks are you using HD?
