The EfficientGovNow program, through the Fund for Our Economic Future, aims to accelerate government collaboration and efficiency by providing as much as $330,000 in funding to collaborative government projects from throughout Northeast Ohio. Through the month of May 2010, the citizens of Northeast Ohio will vote on which of the 10 finalists will receive funding.
This project is a collaboration of the Lorain County Community Alliance; Lorain County; Cities of Lorain, Oberlin, Vermillion, N. Ridgeville, Sheffield Lake, Avon, Avon Lake, Elyria & Amherst; Villages of Grafton, Sheffield, Wellington & S. Amherst; Townships of Carlise & Wellington; etc..
This project aims to follow through on a feasibility study and planning project to implement a centralized county-wide stormwater management agency, generate a capital improvement and financial resources plan, carry out public education and involvement activities to enhance citizens understanding of and support for needed stormwater management measures and hire and utilize legal and consultant services.
