@futureKazmir "Shunsuke Watanabe of the Chiba Lotte Marines is known as "Mr. Submarine" in Japan. Watanabe has an even lower release point than the typical submarine pitcher, dropping his pivot knee so low that it scrapes the ground. He now wears a pad under his uniform to not injure his knee. In addition, his release is so low that his knuckles often become raw from their periodic drag on the ground."
quote from wikipedia. not him.

@snhtown9 He was, haha good memories back in those days. I wouldn't consider Papelbon a sidearmer however, he has significantly increased his arm angle. Kent Tekulve was perhaps the most intimidating, and I always appreciated Bradfords perseverance.

@yankeesteelerfan4313 Now that you mentioned a Latin American pitcher, I remember Rolando Arrojo who was not too shabby when he debuted with the Devil Rays.
-
@snhtown9 you forgot Alberto Castillo former O's pitcher, he would go submarine on lefties and regular on righties
-
@snhtown9 Yeah, I remember Mark Brandenburg; he went to Tech when I was still in high school out in Lubbock. You can also add the late Steve Olin.

@lothartheterrible I'll add to the list. Todd Frohwirth, Jeff Innis, Terry Leach, Mark Brandenburg, Mike Myers, Pat Neshek, Cla Meredith, Mark Eichorn, Carl Mays. Maybe not MVP's, but they all made impacts. I remember Frohwirth was impossible his first year in Baltimore. Oh, yeah, Atlanta had Brad Clontz.

i read that once in a while he scraps his knuckles off the ground causing them to bleed. He also wears a pad on his knee to prevent him from scrapping that to.
