-
i have a 97 with a 2.5 automatic. ive never changed the gearing and im running a 4 inch lift with 33s. never gave me a problem on the trails
-
holy shit, i have those same wheels and tires only my wheels are in flat black
-
thats what im looking to get man, thanks
-
im gonna get a 4 cylinder jeep, but probably with 31's or 32's, i do some mudding, but nothing impossible, and getting stuck is the fun of it
-
Automatic suck!!!!!!!!!!! I just got a new 2010 Jeep Wrangler and it kicks ass. I am adding a 4 inch lift and 33s, and manual transmission is the only way to control the vehicle.

@jeepskater433 given the fact that this is a TJ its probably the SE model which comes with the higher torque Inline 4 2.4 Liter engine. which you can put bigger tires on as long as you have a high enough lift. and if you go bigger than 30's your going to need to regear the trans and then you should be fine.
o yea, what does he drive, maybe ive seen him around

yea he couldve regeared it, but it was having some other issues also, and he needed something to get him to and from Uof H from katy (west houston) reliably,

4.0 without a doubt, do not get a 2.5 if intend on putting any tire bigger than a 31, what usually takes about an hour and a half or two it took us 3 hours going 55-65 the whole way, to the point that shortly after this video was taken my buddy went and bought a rubicon and we transferred everything to it, and the 4cyl now is all stock and his younger bro drives it
