The guitar sounds 100% better with the 52 in there.. Its more musical and rich in tone without the ear piercing treble.

@awesomejohnnet Thanks, I ended changing them out again with SD vintage pickups, which are once again earpiercing.

The raised polepiece for the G string was intended for a wound string(all they used back in the day)and does not work well d for a plain G string.Tradition rules though. With a well radiused fingerboard all one needs is the D pole raised.There's not a pickup available that could make a guitar sound good in this guys hands.God help us.
