I love a challenge...I have always wanted to be the best at things and it just make me try harder when I am being challenged...I know that you and your husband are doing it together but I am striving to be right there with you at the end of this challenge so I am hanging in here tough...It has shown me how creative I can be so if I don't have it one week I try harder the next week to accomplish double and if that doesn't happen I still save what I can...thanks for the challenge

I saved my $10. My thinking has changed in this way - If I can do all the other things that each day requires of me, being a wife, working in the corporate world etc., then why don't I do this simply for me. Of course there is savings set aside for me and my husband but being in this challenge is just for me. I will be using my money next May for my trip to Vegas (not for the slots but sightseeing...) ---- Whooo Hooo!!!

Sparkle, I seem to be behind a week, gotta count my challenge fund and get it together. Still saving "entyway".(-_-) Wanted to share two variations: my Mom is saving 10 quarters this week, she's doing quarters for her challenge and my Aunt is saving 10 dimes this week. They are so proud of themselves and are busy making plans for what to do with their savings funds. We talk about how we will pull together our savings amount for the given week. It has just been the most fun!

I live off half of my salary! It's hard as hell but it's worth it. Especially when your get you income refund and it looks like chump change!
