***MINOR SPOILER ALERT***

http://www.illdoctrine.com

Uncovering the secret code hidden inside the year's best movie.

For real though Wall-E was a great film, and I don't expect this type of movie (or any movie) to comprehensively cover every sociopolitical issue.. but I did find it interesting how it approached environmental issues, in a way that basically left class -and race- off the table.. especially since race and class are so often left off the table when the environment is discussed..

  • LOL. I always thought that everyone got on the ships and left earth for some reason. Like, I just figured that there were other ships for other countries. But I don't think 300,000,000 people would fit on one spaceship anyway, heh.

  • @LazarusCato : I agree one some points but there are more countries that are definitely not over-consuming and too fat. If anything they're too under-consuming. I would argue that this "Wal-Mart America" is a metaphor for the greed and "I WANT IT NOW" phenomena that plagues many of the more developed nations, particularly the overall US.

  • You're onto it. Google something like "H.G. Wells predictive programming eugenics Alan Watt" and you'll get very interesting stuff.

  • @Josephalosaurus Global warming will turn Canada into a tropical paradise! Surf's up in Hudson Bay, bitches!!!

  • lol

  • If you want to know what happened to everybody else watch 2012 because after the world is damaged from all of the irresponsible consumption the people who couldn't afford to be apart of the destruction will just be left behind while the politicians argue in a spaceship lol

  • that "Wallmart american" you speak of is a metaphor for humanity as a whole, we're over consuming and too fat and ignorant from it to realise it, we would need 2.5 earths to sustain the way we live now. So if no-one changes "everybody else" is gonna die anyway.

  • LOL, I love this.

  • lol he's gonna blow this whole thing wide open

  • lmfao i love your voice... and i absolutely love how crazy you are hahaha
