a tour of the grocery store across the street from our apartment in Sasebo, Japan. I apologize for the novice filming techniques and even though it's 7ish minutes long, you might find the commentary rather amusing.

  • do they have nutella in Japan?

  • Do they have Lamb meat in Japan, or is that ''off the menu'' in the neck of the woods? . Nice clean clean clean looking shop. . You said there are lots of people there but there weren't many apparent. I notice the isle is probably only just wide enough for two trolley/cart users to pass one-another but the whole place looks a bit small for a wheelchair user to use, wouldn't you say? . Does it close at eleven? . Thanks for posting, very interesting. . Cheers. from, del-boy
  • i wish i was japanese.... lol

  • you should see the ice cream aisle in finland

  • I just love that cheerful music they're playing here (and mostly in all Japanese stores) and would be sure I'd be buying more goods if they played it, at the same volume, in Dutch supermarkets. However the background music we did have was turned off in most Dutch supermarkets years ago as the music-mafia wants way too much money for publicly playing music nowadays in our country so the supermarkets decided to stop shoving truckloads of money to them.. Anyway I'm getting off-topic - if you want

  • I really like your videos!! So why did you move to japan? Teaching or something? I would like to live there for a year or so but i dont know how that would work since i cant speak a word of japanese

  • A visit to Japan would be pretty expensive for me. I don't even know if I had the time to watch some sights cause I'd spend so much time in stores of all kinds. Everything's so interesting... the food (special meat dishes, sushi, nigiri, bento or even snacks/sweets), or manga/anime stores...

I bet I would spend an aweful amount of money just to try out all the food xD

  • The floor is so sparkly! Mr Sparkle did he's job right! lol

So really.. wow! this look clean and nice!

  • my supermarket doesn't have background music only silence =(

  • have u learn japanese yet,, just asking
