Today we cover the process of building your own PVC shoulder rig for your camera! (Also known as a Camera Stabilizer) I know there are all kinds of PVC shoulder rig tutorials on the web, but the design in this episode is made specifically for a DSLR camera!!

If you are searching online for the conduit box it is called "Pvc LR Conduit body"
Here's a link (look for cheap shipping tho)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001APYLT0/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=k...

If you are still having trouble finding the Pvc LR Conduit box in your area, check out this video for another camera mount option:

The foam padding used on this project is "crafting foam" and is available at art stores. Here's a link if you need more information:

  • Great idea!!! Thanx homie keep it up with dope ideas on the low budget!! added a little xtra support around the neck to the other shoulder and used wrist wrap weights for more stability! This thing works awesome thanx for the idea!! tried to leave a pic but it keeps giving me an error message.

  • @TheMayhemRevolution post the photo on the quick fx face book wall!

  • Love your videos! there so inspirational, you inspired me to make my own out of metal here flickr.com/photos/howla-photography/6876112911 its weighted nicely check it out

  • @HowlaMusic Excellent design! You should create a quick video showing off your design, I'm sure some people would like to see it!

  • The electrical conduit body is called an LL. Its shaped like an L, so that is the first L. If you hold it like a gun, an LL will have the opening on the Left, an LR will have the opening on the Right, and and LB will have the opening facing up, or Back. for this project, and LL or LR should work. Just make sure you get the PVC ones.

  • @monkeyfacevideo Very cool, I didn't know that. I added an annotation to the video. Thanks!

  • very disappointed with the outcome.

  • I just made a rig based off this design except instead of using conduit box I pulled the head off a cheap tripod and slid the pvc pipe through it and then secured! Works fantasticly!

  • This tutorial is awesome. I love the end result I got.

  • Test footage would be nice. Besides that great tutorial.
