  • OK, all you players who have stood shoulder to shoulder with Duane Allman feel free to criticize.....

  • @PhenyxClanClan It's not the guitar that sounds good, it's the man behind the guitar that makes it sound sweet.

  • this is like honey sweet and sticky,i must be in heaven !!!

  • Very nice lesson. Dickey is really throwing some sweet improv licks in there. His phrasing and feel are impeccable. EXCELLENT!

  • Dickey is all like "I feel it" and Duane is so cool.

  • @rodcrippler Agreed, that roaring fucking bass only those allman songs i will never forget, sometimes it kept me awake and going while dickey and duane soloed out of this world

  • Daune passed away before I was even born, but I have been fortunate enough to have played this song with Dickey Betts himself, and his son Daune. Dickey has always been a huge influence on my playing and it was such an honor for him to come out of retirement to play guitar with us. A great man and a great player! lol we even have the same initials lol

  • people don't care for bassists, Berry Oakley was the cornerstone of that era's Allmans' sound, and died a year later than Duane. Dickey is just as amazing as Duane, but people tend to idolize only dead musicians. I bet there are much more incredible musicians alive than dead right now, but people keeo bringing up the second issue...

  • @DazedConfused1969 I can play Purple Haze on a Les Paul too, but it's not the same sound is it?

  • @prayfortruejustice you can i play this on my strat just fine

  • God that it peaceful sounding.......
