Footage from a TGBF (The Great Big Fish) cast from early 2007, showing the i3D Winter Cup final between the two, mainly Swedish, teams xploit and xGx (eXtreme Gaming eXperience). xploit had SpeedyHS amongst their ranks, the famous tanker from World Tournament winners Code7. The side was made up of a lot of Scandinavian Battlefield veterans. Having developed an ambiguous stance towards Battlefield 2, they trusted their experience to carry them through the match.

xGx, however, consisted mostly of somewhat newer players with more dedication towards the game. Hell-bent on training and skill honing, they experienced their best period as a team in this period. Receiving quite a bit of fanboyism from across Europe thanks to their impressive ClanBase EuroCup showing, xGx acquired a lot of self-confidence (also thanks to X-oiL's leadership and new additions such as rglaf). This final match attracted quite a bit of attention and xploit, despite their veteran status, even became a bit of an underdog in advance. Both of these trends were mainly due to to TheSwede's awesome coverage on TGBF and the incensing of xGx by i3D propagandist hoppermania (I mean, look at what a tard he was: "Also, we expect Crysis to be huge. Crysis is a dirext 10 game, the graphics are amazing! EA is the publisher of Crysis, it's gonna be the next Battlefield." [taken from the GAMERT forum archive]) and cup admin Baldrick/Luke (now manager of Power Gaming, having always been an antipathist of the Swedish veterans in xploit because of the latter flaming him on his work over at GotFrag and BFGeeks).

Thanks to SpeedyHS, the person that made this movie in the first place, xploit stayed in the match for a long time, though. Unfortunately for them, this wasn't enough. Prices for the winner were € 1000,- in cash, a 64-slot BF2 ranked gameserver, 8 glass corePads and EA/DICE's BF2142 game.

  • @sozinhoemcasa1988 Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, I don't possess the time required to take this project further. I might look into it again some day, but study requirements are going to be overbearing for me for some time to come. :)

  • Love the game and this shore brings back memories...nice initiative on the site if anyone could get more of this broadcasts with the swede commentary it would be nice love to watch.
