The 'scots' are actually descended from lots of peoples:
The gaels from ireland(who the original word 'scot' refers to)
The Picts - another celtic people who inhabited scotland before gaels - and btw modern scots are just as much descended from these as the gaels its just that the gaels took over politically)
the britons - basically welsh people who lived in strathclyde area
the anglo-saxons - from lothian area - the 'scots' language comes from these

Actually the Irish never came from scandinavia they came from western europe and before that, northern india like all the other celtic peoples (including the picts) but anyway

That's false history you'll find. The fact remains that the more dominant race within Scotland in these times were the Picts who outnumbered the Gaels (Irish) 20 to 1.
And remember, the Irish came from Scandanavia.
