Susan Robertson takes her Falkner-Livingston-Bridgestone Hayabusa to 183mph at Bonneville in Aug. '06 prior to setting the woman's open wheel 1350 class record at 205.965mph! Note that she's wearing a SportVue heads up display to show her speed, RPM and gear. (no audio track)

You need to understand that the Bonneville Salt Flats are at over 4200" elevation and the loose salts creates lots of rolling resistance and loss of traction. Very difficult to set records at Bonne.

Hell, Casey Stoner's motogp bike did 211mph in china this year. And that's hardly a wide open straight run.

Seems lame to say "that's fast for a female".

I heard Burt never hit 200, they only said that in the movie to make it a better story, I was told he hit mid 180's which is still impressive even for a modern bike
