Take a look at the North American version of Samurai Shodown for the Neo Geo CD. This video includes the first two matches, pitting Charlotte versus Earthquake and then Galford. This video is a straight capture; even the original load times were preserved to give viewers an idea for how long the game takes to load once the initial load is out of the way. Please note, however, that at 3:54 the frame rate appears to drop in the game. This frame rate drop was caused by the low bit rate allowed in this video and was *NOT* in the original, uncompressed AVI that I recorded. • Hello friend. What was the program that you used to record the video? I need to make a video about the Neo Geo CD, and am using the emulator neoraine with the Fraps recorder, but I can not write, because it appears only the audio. Whenever I used fraps to record games Neorage (Neo Geo AES / MVS), but the CD does not work.

    Thank you!

  • @AndreNesman I mentioned in the comments that this video is a direct capture, so in other words it is the real hardware with a real copy of the game. As a rule I generally never capture from emulators. I use a Canopus capture card with Vegas editing software.

  • Probably could've edited out the loading screens.

  • @dEdGrimley The intention for those loading screens was to give an accurate look at how Samurai Shodown is on the Neo Geo CD, load times and all. This was a response to the Neo Geo CD Load Times vs. MVS vid I did a while back.

  • The ball-throwing monkey is the highest-tier character in the game. Even Amakusa is no match for him.

  • @Chantumon

    Check yourself in to Bellevue.

  • Had the NG cart version in '94 Cost me $150...it was WORTH IT!

  • I can't believe that a so beautiful blond woman like Charlotte can always have this evil laugh !

  • Overdosing on nostalgia...this was one of the only games I could beat with one quarter in the arcade. I always used Charlotte...I'm from Charlotte, NC. She didn't have any good special moves, but she was fast and had great reach...sorta like Chun Li in SF2...And...where am I?...I'm 17 and weigh 155, right? What? Nostalgia...overdose...

  • There was no such thing as San Francisco in 1788. just sayin! ;D

  • There is no need to redo the music as it was great on the MVS original already.
