  • Just dont expect to do that on the street... I like JL SPM but it needs a make over WSLVT......

  • @jugerknott09 Elbows are elbows.... front, back, in, out, vertical and horizontal.. You use only one in a given situation. what are you refering to -->WSLVT. I'm a traditionalist and a MMAist also. so what do you want me to show you? Which elbow don't you think works? With the right one and the right power they are all very effective.

  • @JookLumFist WSL... Actually I am an avocate of Wong Shun Leung if that's what you're referring to. Don't think of it as one is better than the other and so forth. That's why I practice them all, so I can find differences and relationships. So if you want to see me do wing chun, you will in due time. Elbows... cup jaang, gwai jaang, pai jaang... yes, yes, I know. Find someone to show you good SPM and Bak Mei and Wrestling, Judo/Jiujitsu and you'll see that there is NO universal tool.

  • @jugerknott09 I can explain the differences and relationships between the two arts so there is no need to make over. You need to learn soft before add ging. Jook Lum doesn't have the smashing down elbow and Wing Chun doesn't have the back hand elbow... Eventually you will have to mix and match to get it all. East River Hakka arts is all I can say....

  • @jugerknott09 Also, if I recall... I have taken out a man's knee with elbow #3 and KO'd a fellow with #5 on the street. So I don't know why I bother defending my techniques. In general Jook Lum emphasises sticky hands over crossing hands (gwoh sau) and wing chun vice versa. There is not one technique in WC that appears complicated for me to drill, so my heart is at ease. But can all WC practioners say the same about other east river arts? Gary Lam I feel is one of the best for WC, but

  • @jugerknott09 I apologize if my response came across as defensive as that was not my intention. We are all roots that stem from the same tree(please dont forget)! I am speaking of evolution. JL has "evolved" into a art of its own with many of influence including VT. The adaptiveness of this art form is what makes it unique and not a "copy". Nature conforms itself to changing conditions as this has adapted to many other styles. There is no wrong or right way my friend....just the Tao! :)

  • @HumbleMantis VT is pre school? As far as wha?. VT been around over 400 years.. Alot of JL has been copied from VT.... Not saying that its not good because i dont know it but my uncle does.. I look for simplicity so if VT is preschool then i am not offended... Why dont we see JL and VT chi sao together... But it all depends on the student... Maby like footage from the beimo where wing chun ruled threw every aspect.. Its about the attacking the center line all around the body..

  • @jugerknott09 VT= Preschool ; JL=College Grad

  • So cute; the little girl practicing with the men.
