Alexandre Reis, 20 years old, from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, has learned shorthand by means of the On-line Shorthand Course (Maron System): http://www.taquigrafiaemfoco.com.br/curso_de_taquigrafia_online_em_word.htm. After 1 year and 4 months of a methodical study and great perseverance he can now write down dictations at the speed of 115 words per minute. This video shows Alexandre taking down a dictation at the speed of 90wpm. This video is a proof that one can, yes, learn shorthand on-line, provided, of course, the methodology of the shorthand teaching is adequate.
