"I've been hoping for a 1080P, waterproof camcorder for a long while. I grabbed this one as soon as it hit the market (actually, a few weeks before by ordering it from Hong Kong), and I am very happy with it. Waterproofing has worked as promised, and I am impressed with the video it puts out. I put it through it's paces on the rock ..."

Whatever camera you get be sure to rinse it thoroughly in fresh water after use, especially if you take it in the sea. I wouldn't feel confident taking mine underwater anymore, it's developed a few holes and rust around the battery compartment due to salt water, but that's really my fault, the FT2 only went to 3m depth and i might have pushed it a bit too far. I'm going to upgrade and will probably still get the FT3, i have some great underwater pictures with the FT2, so i'll keep it panasonic
@falcoperegrinus82 They are the same camera. I have the FT2 which is great for on land and below the water. I've had a play with the FT3 and it seems to be an all round improvement on the FT2. The nikon has a good spec, but it needs light for a good picture. Which isn't so good for taking pictures underwater. I'd go with the FT3
i had the TS 1 and it was a great camera! unfortunately a friend broke it.. and i'll have the TS3 i have to say that these two cameras are just excellent and they're worth the price!
