If the US gov hadn't have intervened in WW1 creating an imbalance of power, a ceasefire would have eventually been called as both allies and central powers were economically spent. World War 2 would not have happened because the Versailles wouldn't have caused a german hyper-inflation to pay war debt, fueling german nationalism. really, what about Pakistan? Should we just wait until extremists overtake the Paki govt., which has nuclear capabilities.? We don't have any interest in that? Go to a few of the remaining WW2 vets and talk to them for awhile, not to rich kids who had the luxury of studying the event 50 years later from the comfort of a University classroom.
