The third part. This is the best as it has a tidal wave!

  • That's not realtime water simulation. Realtime water simulation is impossible. The true method takes hours to "bake". What you see here is the emission of many particles with blue textures, basically.

  • It is not impossible it just requires extremely powerfull hardware. This is done using a particle effects where each particle has collision physics. The only thing that stop this being impossible for modern hardware, is that the particles don't collide with each other

  • You should render some videos using capture_frames so we can see the full wave without the stutter.

  • I want to do this all in Realtime, no precomputation...

  • Yeah, we know it's impressive. But still you're getting 2-3fps on that video, and we can't see the water in it's true smooth motion glory.

  • Yeh I'm going to optimize the particle effect. You get the idea though.

  • that was scary

yeah i know but realy that was scary ^^

  • @openracing true water physics is impossible to this date yes, but many companies use small balls to simulate water, this works rather well, just not 100%, although you wouldn't see the difference.

  • @Genome66 this was the past men.... :P my water it's better!!!! :PPPPP

  • How you make that?

  • @openracing 3 years later (now) it is possible. See the "From Dust" game tech demo vids.

  • @openracing PhysX, Dumbass.

  • @openracing you ever seen nvidia's physx demos? thats real time fluid rendering

  • What sort of CPU would be need to render fluid in realtime, with about 1 million particles :)

  • omg im sorry but that looks terrible and fake

  • holy shit man it looks so much better really good update
