The Prime Minister and Ed Balls opened the new £24 million Bristol Brunel Academy on 6 September 2007.
They also heard from 50 pupils, parents, teachers and community leaders as part of "Time to Talk" - a unique consultation that will shape the national Children's Plan to be published later this year. See www.dcsf.gov.uk/timetotalk for more information.
the reason they did this was because speedwell was so shit! the year i left was the last year of speedwell which was 2007 june and in september the new school opened i even saw the old building got knocked down... speedwell school was SO bad that there were riots happening,,, and in my year ONLY 9 people got their GCSE cos the rest just couldnt be fucked to do them! the whole school was full of chavs and there were fights EVERYDAY!
