So I got this guy on december 31...
While he/she may not look like it, it's actually a tangerine, the quality of the vid might make it a little hard to tell.

Anyway, I have 1 warm and 1 moist hide, a water dish I almost change every day, a piece of paper towel for *cough* and reptile carpet. I also put in a small calcium dish, but all it does is turn it over. And the heater, well Korea doesn't have homemade undertank heaters specifically made for reptiles, so we either use ones for people, or us made ones that cost near 50000won(about 50USD) I chose the former. When I get the chance to visit CA again, I'm going to buy a dozen of those heaters LOL

His/her feeding behavior is very erratic, sometimes 2 crickets, sometimes none at all, once it took 3 at a time. Usually it takes 2 and becomes inactive. And it hates mealworms. Any tips on that? And is calcium without D3 okay?

  • @SAsgarters Thanks for your comment. : )

  • He, she's so cute^^ My leo was that cute but now she's a monster;;;

  • @Peterkim981 I don't know if it's a female or not... maybe?

    요즘에 충우 안하시네요? 만약에 이 개체 수컷이라면 언젠가 페어링해볼까요? ㅎㅎ

  • @jxz107

    I thinks he's a male, don't females get a white stripe on their back?

  • @DXmmuauaua I'm pretty sure you'd have to have some weird morph for a leopard gecko to have a stripe.

    Don't you mean African Fat Tailed geckoes?

  • @jxz107 제가 요즘에 차에 관심이 생겨서요^^;;;;; 이번주에 사진을 올리도록하죠^^

  • @1softkiss Thanks for your comment, I'll keep uploading more vids of the new guy/girl.

    I will also try to get water out of the carpet, sometimes the gecko and it's food spill it a bit.

  • Appears to be a really nice set up and love your new reptile :O) Beautiful colors and great patterns. I've used carpet in most all of my enclosures and the only thing is you have to be sure the carpeting doesn't get super wet because it really does absorb tons of moisture but not a problem unless it's really and excessive amount. Looks real good and with a warm and cool hide and plenty of things for entertainment should be happy and content. I use human heating pads under all my snake enclosures

  • Anyway, I'd be grateful for any advice regarding the gecko This is the second lizard I have kept as my own(the rest are adult pets others asked me to take care of when they had places to go to, as well as one WC western fence lizard).
