This "fight song" was first used to open the radio broadcasts of Giants games on then flagship station KSFO in San Francisco. The saying is based off of the home run call of Hall Of Fame broadcaster Russ Hodges. An instrumental version is currently used on television at the end of the inning whenever a Giant hits a home run.

Love this song. Been a Giant fan since 1962 when I was 15 years old. I think the song came out in the National league playloffs against the Pirates. Unfortunately we lost. But I could be wrong. Everytime I hear it can't wait for baseball. Also a Niner fan since I was ten in 56.

Every time I listen to this song, it brings back great memories from my childhood, and listening to Giants games with my dad, my friends and their families. At least twice a month I go back for another listen. Love my Giants. Always have and always will.

I've been a Giants fan since I was a boy and my father has been a Giants fan for 50 years. Winning the World Series was a dream come true for all of us loyal Giants fans. Although I wasn't born when this song was written by Allyn Ferguson, I remember hearing this song every time a Giant hit a homer as a kid and I still remember the words to this day. I even have this song as the ringtone on my phone. I still love hearing this song on TV or at AT&T Park after a Giant homer. Go Giants & Hum Baby!
