The song was written by Carlie Rich around 1958 when Charlie was recording at Sun Studio and recorded by him as well as by Jerry Lee Lewis. Many thanks to WendyKS93 for telling me who wrote it and the correct title.

This song was written by the great Charlie Rich back in the late fifties and recorded by Jerry Lee Lewis and the correct title is It Hurt me So and Chris does a fantastic version here. Mouldytone I hope this information is helpful to you and thanks for putting it on here. How do I know? I have the original 45rpm release of Jerrys recording. those old songs are still the best.
