Cynic150, you do not know Debussy. I will leave it at that.
Mr. Moravec has what we call in the music world, Musical Integrity-- "common sense for music" if you will. It's being critical and having a truthful taste for the music. Debussy doesn't have written rit. in every place where an artist would know where to put them. Please, research the meaning of Debussy's music before you judge. Debussy is all about "Lift."

Debussy himself is supposed to have said pianists should think of their instrument as being without hammers--i.e., not percussive. One of my teachers, Arminda Canteros (a student of Walter Gieseking, perhaps the greatest Debussy interpreter of all time), was always saying "think UP, not down".
