Juhuiiiii!!! Yeeeeah!!! On my 2550 it worked for the drum reset perfectly!
It is printing again in perfect quality!
(the picture drum is stopped after 5000 color prints, after reset, I can print eventually another 5000... yeah!)

sounds like a poor imiation of HAL! not enough description.
there is usually 500 sheets worth of toner left. with the low toner light flashing.

Wroked fine for me, you need to press the cancel button very fast. I think the cancel button has to be pressed at the exact moment the empty toner light comes on.

@yawgom: This is definitely not easy to execute. It takes me several (sometimes many) tries every time.
To be honest, lately I've been just buying remanufactured toner cartridges to avoid the irritation. Cheers.
