Demonstration of a basic high/low corner mixup (6K overhead, 2D low) and followup combos on Eddie, light characters (demonstrated on May, works on Jam/Bridget/Dizzy, needs slight modifications on Baiken) and Ky.

  • Why 2D and not 2K? 2D's unsafe at that range.

  • RC = frame advantage.

    2D doesn't prorate, 2K prorates.

You could also do 2D meaty and get frame advantage + RC on reaction to hit but it's harder to get a big followup on reaction.

  • what does "prorate" means?

  • when you start a move with a prorating move, every hit afterwards has its base damage modified before damage calculations- typically lower. Most 2K's in GG prorate following hits to 70-80% base damage.

  • did you put the computer on random breaks? like like burst, front, back etc? or is it on none? nice combo though but didnt see the mix up or reset...

  • Computer is set to back tech, though you can tell it's a legit combo because "BEAT" stays orange.

The mixup is 2D (low hit) vs. 6K (overhead).

  • could you tell me the timing on the j.k land 5H...that's one of the only links that I have trouble with

  • oh ok. i dont use slayer so didnt see the mix up but i play with him to understand his moves. would of been better with the command input off and just the damage. that side tracked some of the moves
