wrong tires

Those are actually new tires but they're not big enough. The gearing is just right with these tires but as you can see they don't have a lot of traction. I put some 35's on there I found at a garage sale which makes it geared a little high so the clutch gets a work out but the thing will go freakin anywhere.

it's a flat 4 cylinder - vw motor. Those VW's will do some amazing things but working on them all the time gets a little old.

@MEPSTAR Well as you can see, it was wet and slippery you boner! Lemme ask you this: can your v6 buggy climb potato salad hill? Mine can, and did. And that's in 2-wheel drive.

how much $ did it take to make that.?

Well, it's a long story. I bought it for 1000 bucks but it didn't have a roll cage and the tires on it were crappy. So I just kept adding more and more stuff to it, 50 bucks here, 200 bucks there, 75 here etc etc etc.

Should have had a corvair engine in it, nice buggy and vid though.

Yea that would be nice. I hear parts are kinda hard to come by though. This buggy's now in pieces in my garage and the frame is at a metal recycling place somewhere. I don't think I'll build another VW. They're pretty fussy for how much (how little) HP you get out of em.
