Ummm while that guy seems like an ass, is it a bad thing to ask to take pictures? I'll be going to my first con in September and I'll be cosplaying. I'm just a little curious.

Actually, in the con world it is looked down on and most cons would kick a person out for consistently harassing someone. It's good to know that if you are going to your first con, it's ok to ask for pictures, but to follow someone throughout the day and continually ask after they say no ( I spent a good half hour with him already and was very polite) is just flat out rude.
