John Mayer at Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD, 7/13/08. It rained through the entire show, and he told all of us on the lawn that we had balls.
Haha I was there with my best friend, and we had lawn seats, while Brett Dennen was playing we were basically drowning already, and we couldn't see a THING because of all of the umbrellas. I didn't understand the need for them...I felt amazing without an umbrella...like a hippie at a concert. XD But my sister and her friend had AMAZING seats in the pavillion, and they snuck me and my friend in and I got to see AAALLLLL of this up close. It was AMAZING. Best day ever.
you are all very, very dumb people. Watch where the light is. If you can not see how talented john is then you need to learn a little something about guitar and music you foolish children
I agree, John Mayer is a stupid idiot for playing a sad version of a Van Halen tune......wha ha ha ha!!! Comon Mayer we all wanna hear your version of Eruption, although I doubt there would be much of an eruption going on......more like a few soap bubbles popping....bwa ha ha ha!!!

If they played with John Mayer, I agree. They're doing just what Calpton did, playing with a younger artist who's popular at the time to keep their careers going. It's a very common occurance. B.B King played with U2 when they were on top of the charts. Do you really think that B.B. King thinks "the edge" is a great blues guitarist? And Clapton also recorded with "Babyface" when he had some hits going. I seriously doubt Clapton thinks Babyface is an amazing musician.

shut up dork. You know it's true. Mayer sucks, and this version of Panama is undeniable evidance. He'd be better off covering a tune by Hanson. That's more his level of musicianship....wha ha ha ha!!!
anyone know who the base player is for this gig? No D. L. present. What up?

I was at this show. Last row before the lawn started. You all did have balls -- he should have played covered in rain. irony.
