It depends on where you are. Here in Western North Carolina I never plant mine before the last week in May. Okra loves warm weather. If you plant it too soon it won't even germinate.

beautuful Okra! Mine got too big in the greenhouse in Queensland/ Australia, and so sadly i had to chuck them out.
