I vote John Carpenter for a Dead Space movie, he's the one who wouldn't tone down the gore and make it PG-13 just so you can get a bunch of kids seeing it. Besides, he's already done the Thing, which helped inspire Dead Space by the way, so he'd have some great experience to bring to the table.

@tommyzaso Michael Bay?! are you fucking kidding me? That worthless director couldn't get giant fighting robots correct. You want Ridley Scott, John Carpenter, James Cameron, people who know and have done Sci/Fi correctly. And the simple fact that Dead Space is inspired by Alien, Aliens and The Thing 82. Without those directors and their skills there would be no Dead Space.
