FFTA Morpher SCC Part II: Famfrit

Do note that this is not the "real" Morpher SCC where no other classes but No Mou Morphers are used, I allow using Hunter Marche to capture other monsters, because I think capturing and morphing makes things so much interesting. But due to that it's not a genuine SCC or whatever.

The first boss we face is Famfrit. And surprisingly, he gets owned harshcore. He's level 9 and that's divisible by 3, meaning we can use one of the Bug transform's abilities to screw up his defence at the maximum 100% chance. Nice!

He can't really hurt us when all the minions are dead so that's what we do first, get rid of all the Ahriman enemies. Some go down in a single hit, these folks are pretty fragile.

I was lucky in this battle, what with the Ahriman committing suicide and whatnot. I even entered it on a day when Confusion was banned (though I actually planned to morph into a Floating Eye and do some confusing myself).

The Lamia morph is really good. Hand Slap does great physical damage at no MP cost (excellent with damage = mp) and delays the target's turn. Preferable to Bug who is more situational (Sandstorm is earth-elemental and may not be used effectively when own allies are around).

Lamia's Twister really kicks ass in random encounters when you're trying to capture a new monster. Capture missing? Halve their HP once more and try again. Good stuff.

We're just hallucinating, there were no Morphers in the battle at all.

I've never actually used Morphers, so it's quite interesting to see them in action.

And you gotta love Marche taking all the credit at the end there.

well... I saidd it appears to be auto-protect for FF8's because they seem to only take hlaf damage from weapon attacks. and I haven't played TA2, so I can't say anything about those.

Well, FFTA2 Flans aren't very defensive at all.

I think it's higher defence values in other cases, not Protect or any other status.

this is NOTHING compared to the flan morph. seriosuly, flans have almsot ALWAYS had crazy defense. (ff8 flan type, and the first fpalns in FF6 are the exceptions - FF8 flans just seem to have a permanent protect status... the first flan enemy in FF6 (in the room you fight Ifrit and Shiva, BTW.) have just average defense - it's the flans in the WoR with the crazy defense.)

In fact, I'm fairly certain I slightly saw Marche's faster than lightning strikes.
