Yet another video depicting a person trying to pilot a ppg WITHOUT ANY kiting skills. I'm sorry dude if you were taught that way.

Have you never been hit by a bit of rotor? It will happen one day and what will you do. Best wishes Nick Sands. (Live and still kicking)

what do you mean hit by a bit of rotor? im hopefully going to take a course in this in a couple months, and want to be "prepared for any unforseen event that may or may not occur"

Wind Rotor caused by Trees, High Buildings or Hills changes the direction of the wind just like water changes its direction going over obstacles. The answer is to give yourself as much space as possible. All will be made clear during your training. Good luck, regards Nick

my god looks a bit scary on the climb out ? I think I would have been in a bit of a panic in the same situation ! what were you thinking whilst it was happening

To be honest when you hit rotor like that you just concentrate on trying to keep things as smooth as possible. Once I was up a few more feet all was calm as the video shows. I have great confidence in the Apco wing and its been through worse.
