Vietnam - Laos Border Crossing & Luang Prabang

Episode 5 of my travel vlog. Crossing from Hanoi in Vietnam to Luang Prabang in Laos. It is a two day job on board the world's most uncomfortable buses. Some people didn't manage to cross the border because of Vietnamese immigration officials, which makes it worse! You do get to see lovely views though, and as long as you've got your iPod and good company, it is a very enjoyable ride! how do you prevent them stamping your passport in the wrong place? Where should they stamp it? Cheers

@elliottk16 Make sure the WHOLE of the stamp is on the passport page. In her case, some of it was on the page but the majority of the stamp was on the visa waiver stapled to the passport page. Consequently, when they rip out the waiver, there's no record of her even being in the country and they kick up a fuss...

Thankyou so much for your quick reply! How long in total did the journay take from Hanoi to LP and also how much did it cost? Im guessing you went onto Vang Viang then to Vientiane? did you cross back into thailand on the Vientiane border crossing? sorry for all the questions just planning my trip for the end of February.
