Based on a true story, this made-for-cable drama focuses on the plight of 14-year-old Michael Crowe (Mark Rendall). When his younger sister is found murdered in her bed, Michael is accused of the crime and hauled into the local police station. After a grueling interrogation, the cops manage to coerce a confession out of the beleaguered boy. Michael's mother, Cheryl (Ally Sheedy), together with a small band of sympathizers, desperately takes on "the System" to fight for the boy's fundamental legal rights.

  • Police Depts are right next to serial killers, murderers, rapists, pedofiles, etc: All psychotic, corrupt and greedy for power.

  • Thank you for adding this movie - this has to be the most heart-wrentching story I have come across - I pray that this family especially Michael is living a happy life now.

  • SAN DIEGO — The family of slain 12-year-old Stephanie Crowe will receive $7.25 million in the settlement of a federal civil-rights case filed against the cities of Escondido and Oceanside. The settlement was announced Friday Oct 21, 2011 at a court hearing before U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Miller. The 13-year-old case was set to go to trial on Oct. 31.

In agreeing to the deal, neither Oceanside, Escondido nor the individual detectives named in the suit admitted liability.

  • This is a pure example of how vulnerable we are when it comes to laws and authorities, one little mistake and we can be hanging ourselves , this family didn't eve have time to digest what happened to their daughter and went through more crap!!! Not fair!

  • Thanks for this upload Rabbit! you always have good movies. Sometimes I get in the mood for a made for TV/Cable movie and nothing else will suffice!I'm happy it ended as it did but still, poor kid spent a yr. behind bars. I'm also all for the right of video taping any confessions. Of course if I ever get in a situation I'll have a lawyer present before I say a word. This proves it can happen to any of us.We (U.S.A.)have the worst Judicial system in the free world.

  • @KenyanPlayboyBunnie1 Right up there with the U.S. government. The Police department are just a legal gang sponsored by the Gov.The different states,Counties, and city police forces are just like different sets of the gang you think crossing a street gang is dangerous it is they'll come at you.The difference is you cross the Police force or even one cop and they bust you up legally.Isn't it scary that the only requirement to be a cop is a GED.They are given ultimate authority over the rest of us

  • Wooooh! Man! What year was this?

  • great movie!

anyone know if they got any money from the lawsuit?
