This video does seem to support GMO production. Large companies like Monsanto thrive on this type of thinking. It's increasingly more difficult to find all-natural foods in stores (foods that actually taste like what they are - tomatoes, for example) and it's because these corporations change the chemical make-up of things. Personally, I'd rather see all farmers revert to sustainable agriculture (I didn't even touch on animal farming) and humans take more control over our own procreation.

yeah, what andthemieke said! STOP HAVING BABIES! That's the problem with the world! It is not our birth right to reproduce, it's a privilege. I think if people only bred when they had an adequate environment in which to raise a child with enough money and space for it, the world would grow slower, and each life would be richer, healthier and more productive for the future of the race.

Does this account for more waste?
Stop having so many shit making machines. There's the solution.
Think about that!

Read 'the ringing ceders of siberia' by V. Megre
In short: Every familie gets 1 hectare of land for free for ever, has to live on it and bring it to fruition. This way every familie will have a piece of beloved motherland to take care of and it is not allowed by the government to wage tax on the having or on the proceeds of the property. When you plant a great deal of divers crops there will be no need for pesticides or other chemicals and the soil will stay alive and will not be starved.

This looks like a propaganda video for GMO's? We need to start to grow our own food and share it. Communities are and should be encouraging communal farms.
There are solutions, but people have to be willing to evolve, adapt and shift. The new way coming will be so much more fun! Put the planet first. If we honor the Earth, we honor ourselves.

Consuming less is important, but let's not vilify a plant for taking one litre of water to produce one calorie. If it wasn't an edible plant, it would be a weed in its place taking the water.
It's absurd that they didn't even mention the difference in efficiency between plant foods and animal foods. Eating meat/eggs/dairy takes an order of magnitude more resources. If you want to address the problem in a simple and effective way start eating lower on the food chain! ...not to mention it's healthier and more compassionate.
And, as others have mentioned, slowing overpopulation is half the equation. I see they're trying to make things understandable, but they're oversimplifying a lot.
