I have a phobia of insects, so I hate these type of demo's. Insects aside, the colors look wonderful

Robots & Tropic Thunder. These films are full of rich vibrants colors and well display well on your hdtv. I have made blu-ray reviews of them on my page. Be sure to calibrate your hdtv if you haven't already.

The only fault I have so far, has nothing to do with the product. The Samsung customer service is infamous. I only have a 1005 software version on this and I know there are people out there with 09 and even 10. So I would like to know where Samsung are keeping all their firmware updates, the TV doesn't find any itself.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr SAMSUNG!!!

I have had this TV for about 1 year now. The only thing I will tell you is that it does have Image retention just like any plasma. It never burns but if you have a logo or something on it for a long time, then change channel, for a few seconds only, you will still see the logo on the new channel.
The only other issue I have had is with the firmware. I still have the original one, I can't update. As I have no faults to report, I can't moan about this either.
Amazing TV though!!!

Looks great. I have just bought this tv and it should arrive later this week. I have a question perhaps you could answer though. If you try to play for example a .mkv-file with dts sound. Do that make the tv quiet? Some people have said that the media player can't deal with DTS. In that case, is there a way to get the sound out of the tv and maybe play it from a reciever instead. Thinking of DTS then. ;)

On mine, it does go quiet. What I do when I have a file like this, is either convert it on a PC to something that will play, or just play it on the PC itself :)
At the moment, I don't know any other way around it. Some people say their TV plays everything and no problems with codecs, which makes me think that in the future, there will be a firmware update for my TV. But so far, NOTHING. Samsung are famous for their poor customer service, so I won't hold my breath.

Ok. Thanks for the quick answer. Looking at your video again. Where did you get that Samsung video you're playing? =)

I downloaded the video off the net. I think I got it from Vuze. It is just a small 1080p video showing off the great colours the TV has.
