Like I said.. Saleen is out of business BUILDING CARS. they might still be fitting god damn blowers to god damn Mustangs. But that doesnt count towards building supercars now does it. Major tuner hahaha.. Why the fuck do tuneshops in USA recieve such hero status. Dont you people understand that this.. Is the main reason you guys dont have a supercar industry. Or a prestige car industry at all.

@Janusha: You see. The thing is. Your reading skills are so low that you don't even realize that I never doubted that Saleen inc was taken over by someone else. Who cares who it was taken over by if the business is still in business and doing what they've been doing for decades. Here is a hint about Steve Saleen. He left Saleen inc. to break his ties with Ford. His new automotive company is up and running. He is a major tuner now instead of just tunning Fords.

As for Saleen. His business went bankrupt and was taken over by MJ aquisitions. Search Google for "Saleen, MJ Acquisitions Scraps Warranty Coverage" They didnt continue the car building part. They sold off all the equipment and Saleen himself left the company and started another one. If you really gave a shit, you could find this info just as easily as me.. that dont give a shit.

@Janusha: Any person with simple common sense knows that fuel economy is different depending on your driving habits. It doesn't matter if the car is german, japanese, american, or what ever. Automakers give you the information on what the car is capable of. The Veyron has been ranked as the worst fuel efficient car today eventhough its fuel economy claims is not the worst. Why? Because when you put your foot down in a Veyron and keep it down, you empty the entire fuel tank in under 6 minutes.

And why should I really care what Steve Saleen does... Bankrupt is bankrupt. I know they tune mustangs. So what. thats all americans ever do is tune Corvettes and Mustangs and recieve hero status for it. Like the legend Shelby that never actually built a single car. Saleen dont make cars. Because it went... bankrupt. You walk into their operations all you like. And count how many supercars they build.

Ill tell you why american engines are "more fuel efficient" the Corvette ZR1 forexample. Americans like to quote 28 mpg or whatever. Which is great compared to a Murchielago with 17. But this is best case scenario. Here a ZR1 is listed at 19 average. Because when you put your foot down you get 4. Then there is the fact that america uses different miles and different gallons. Colonial vs imperical measurements. So it translates back to american as 15 mpg which is pathetic.
