Original Malaysiakini caption:
Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said those involved in the 'cow-head' protest in Shah Alam last week cannot be blamed for the controversy.

Addendum:
The Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC) apparently found the message in this recorded interview offensive enough to warrant a warning under Section 211/233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act. However, instead of taking action against the person(s) who made those offensive statements, they have chosen to target the whistleblowers and demanded that Malaysiakini remove these videos (see report here: http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/112111 and copy of letter to Malaysiakini here: http://www.malaysiakini.com/doc/mcmc_to_mkinitv.php )

Civil society and media freedom watchdogs have condemned this blatant attempt at censorship and cover up (see Centre for Independent Journalism statement here: http://www.cijmalaysia.org/content/view/495/8/ )

The targeted videos are being reproduced and uploaded as mirrors just in case Malaysiakini does take it down under pressure from the MCMC. I'd encourage folks to do the same on other video portals. No more cover ups!

I Love Malaysia... I Love Malaysian...

I Love Malaysia

  • Betul.

  • Bak kata pepatah orang putih; "The proof of the pudding is in the eating". Unfortunately 1Malaysia may look like pudding but it tastes like something else altogether.

  • if any otr races wld hv done it d isa wld hv catched their asses that very day n d government wld hv condemned them not supported!!!!

  • I beg to differ. As long as its any expression of discontent that doesn't originate from UMNO, they don't really give a hoot about what race the protestors are.
