I didn't know much about this clan until I married one 6 years ago. My wife is also a Thoj Tshuab Qaib from Atwater, CA. When my wife's grandma passed away years go we did this at the Merced, CA funeral home. The roster didn't croak that loud. But before I married my wife, when her grandpa passed away the roster did croak really loud even when it was strangled as one of the uncles blow through a bamboo from the chicken's armpit. This Thao Clan is really unique as no other clan does this.

I havent seen the chicken wing thing done before, iono but my grandma says different clans have different traditions... :) ....the more u know the more you will appreicate and value this culture/tradition&belief .....
