Filmed on December 18th, 2008, in the evening after isha prayer
Complete 360 of the area around the King Abdul Aziz entrance to Masjid al-Haram. The haram area was busy 24/7, especially with it still being high season and many of the pilgrims remaining long after the hajj was over to worship in the masjid before returning home. The entire area is layered with marble, making walking bare feet as manageable as it is with slippers. The workers there keep the surfaces very clean, it really is amazing. You can see one of the cleaning machines pass in the beginning of the video.
The green light arrows at the gate entrance indicate whether or not it is open. During prayer times, if you don't get there early enough you most likely won't be able to enter through the major gates, but will be directed to smaller ones, or to the stairs or esclators, if you can enter the masjid at all.
Around 0:28 you'll see a large ramp which leads people to the 2nd floor. Electronic clock towers are found around the entrances to inform people of the prayer times. The haram is surrounded by hotels.
The slight crowd around the entrance is due to people taking off their slippers, and also guards who may choose to inspect any bags you have. The female guards are more strict, they check every woman with a bag entering the masjid.
It's amazing just to stand in the area the entrance to Masjid al-Haram. The kaaba is ahead of you, the Grand Zam Zam towers behind. Many people find a place on the marble to sit and rest. Others are coming and going from the masjid. Many are still in their ihram garbs performing additional Umrahs. You hear different languages being spoke, and so many different races and ethnic groups. But the overall purpose is the same, spending time in masjid al-Haram to worship God.
All praises and thanks are due to Allah for allowing me the chance to stay in Mecca after Hajj to enjoy more time in the blessed city and the opportunity to perform more acts of worship.
My dream is to go there one day inshaAllah. I feel my soul yearning for it. Make dua for me please! Peace to all Muslims around the world..

@Dialahh May Allah(swt) allow you to go many times in your life. The best thing is the make the intention to go, say next year, and prepare for it, and see the predestination of Allah(swt) unfold.
