Sorry the video is so long! I just had so much to talk about, lol. These are just some of my experiences with breastfeeding and some tips on getting through the first week. Please don't desitate to ask me any questions if you need help. Enjoy!

  • I am not pregnant yet, but we do plan to have a baby soon. I want to breastfeed. Found this video helpful. Stupid question, did your hospital offer the breastfeeding class? And when did you take it, like when you were pregnant, or when Lilia was here?!

  • @sydneyelizabeth16 That's not a stupid question at all! :P The class that I took was one that the hospital offered and it was actually a package with the birthing class we took. I believeee it was around $60ish if I remember correctly but it helped so much! And we took it after our birthing class but before she was born :)

  • ok i have a question. i never got the hang of it with my first child but i am pregnant again. what do you do if they don't open their mouth when you are trying to feed them? i was told you are supposed to rub your boob to their lips?

  • @brooklynnA10 Yeah that should definitely do the trick. If it doesn't, then they're probably just not hungry :P And make sure they open very wide before you try to latch them.

  • I know that breastfeeding is healthy for baby, but how does it benefit the mother?:)

  • @emmyemmyoxenfree It reduces the chance of getting several different types of cancers (inclusing breast cancer, ovarian cancer, etc), reduces postpartum bleeding, reduces the chance of osteoperosis, it helps the mother loose the baby weight, and you won't have your period for a longgg time, which is always good ;)

  • i forgot how tiny lilia was!!

  • weird to see lilia there and now! what a difference.. :)

btw my daughter is 1 month now and i still have problems with breastfeeding..

    i got sooo sore.. :/

  • I cannot believe that is Lilia. I have been subscribed since before Lilia was born so I've watched it all take place but still, it's like... who's that lil baby Jess is holding?. Lilia is such a big beautiful girl now. So crazy to realize all the film there is of her growing up.

  • Thank you for making this video :) my baby is 4 months old and ebf. It's great to see other moms breastfeeding successfully :)

  • gosh this was SO helpful! I am due in April with a little girl. I tried to nurse my son when he was born but I don't know if I was doing it wrong or what so I just stopped. I don't want to do that this time around! Thanks for this video!!!

  • oh my gosh lilia looked so adorable in the outfit she was wearing I'm only 13 but where did you get it lol =)
