i have a universial cast that i almost always use, it is like a spey cast but has some otger casts mixed in

Do i need a speyline to speycast?

I just wanted to add that watching this video has helped me cast lines loaded with shot and sections of sink-tip with ease in heavy flows, not to mention style and grace even when throwing unweighted nymphs. Water tension plays such a big role in a proper roll cast and through employing single handed spey techniques I've developed a style of my own, not to mention an easy transfer into true two-handed casting. Though a lot do not take my advise, I'll continue to promote this style of casting.

Hi why you disable embedding? I use your video for introducing single spey cast on one fly casting forum. Cheers

Just wanted to say thanks for the great video. I've probably watched it 20times just trying to get it all down to a science. I was wondering what type of line your using in the video? is it a WF, full floating or is it a special line to get the spey casts out of a smaller rod??? Also depending on the line I was wondering what kind of distances is possible? thanks for any information you can give. really enjoyed the great video... thanks again... God bless.... Sam

Wow... I learned the basic cast from Doug Swisher's videos about 12 years ago. Most other casting videos suck... and this one doesn't!! I'm excited to watch more of your videos! Good job!
