  • @crwatts100 KISS amde it based on their fancy live show. Take away the efrects and makeup and they wouldn't have made it out of the 70's. The early music (mostly) was quite weak and Alive 1&2 were only "Semi" live.

A band like AC/DC is just as good on a small stage with no fancy anything. Just look at clips from the 70's and Angus was as mesmerizing then as he is now, and their live shows sound better than their albums.

  • Ah, Rolling Stone. How things have changed since you called AC/DC's debut High Voltage an "all-time low" in the hard rock genre.

  • @jagarf You can't blame the entire magazine just because of one bad critic. It was Billy Altman who wrote that. But a true rock band doe not gives a shit about critics anyway.

  • @kissdrummr fag.

  • @angels77100 wow... Just wow, just another back in black n00b you are, for those about to rock was a fucking amazing album, flick of the switch is so underrated, fly on the wall had terrible production but sill rocked so hard

  • @76slippery I've always had a soft spot for DC. I'm the first one to admit that compared to DC, Kiss sucked. But their early stuff was pretty good. Regardless of how predictable and limited DC became you gotta admire them for staying true to themselves and their fans. Metallica on the other hand, fuck em. But by your own admittance, sales have nothing to do with taste. So in effect you've been agreeing with me all along.

  • @angels77100 Well taste is subjective. You and i might agree the... I dunno... Justin Bieber sucks. (of course he does) but there is somebody out there that likes him alot. In fact there are a lot of people who do. Opinions are like assholes...

  • @76slippery Dude Metallica are now Rock legends because of sales. Yet they didn't become legends because of Metal. Metallica should be sued and made to drop the metal from their name. The point is. Bands like DC, Kiss & Metallica are going to sale regardless of how crap their recent material is. Sales figures have nothing whatsoever to do with how good or shit these 'rock' bands have become. So you can't use that as an argument.

  • @angels77100 Sales figures don't agree

  • @76slippery Black Ice is shit. DC haven't released a decent album since Back in Black.

  • @angels77100 That's why Black Ice is their biggest seller since Back In Black, and in the download age no less. Yeah they had a few lack luster years in the 90's but they never ran on a gimmick like make up, then ditched it then brought it back living off the nostalgia factor.

  • @76slippery I disagree. Kiss' early material was their best. They would have made it 'make-up, or no make up'. Dc were just Dc, although their recent material sucks.
