@stellerquest OK. Pick a key. Let's say E-minor. Well, the whole "verse" is just Em, or perhaps Em7. When you get to "But when the frost's on the pumpkin, etc.", it's A [8 beats], Em [4 beats], B [4 beats], A [4 beats], Em [4 beats]. Feel free to add a "7" to any of those chords, and even a flat-9 to the B, although the melody does this for you.
