It's easier than I thought =P

Here is how I did it:

NTSC: If forward is pressed from frame 0 and on, dash should be pressed on frames 25, 50, 70, and 85. On frame 85, both dash and down can be pressed together and Samus will charge her speed in preparation for a shinespark.

PAL: If forward is pressed from frame 0 and on, dash should be pressed on frames 20, 40, 60 and 70. On frame 70, both dash and down can be pressed together and Samus will charge her speed in preparation for a shinespark.

Keep in mind that this was done with the emulator Snes9x and with Frame Advance activated.

This information was taken directly from Tasvideos so if you want to read more on how it is done plus many other tricks in this game go to http://tasvideos.org/SuperMetroidTricks.html#VaryingSamusSHitbox

Thanks to Hoandizi for showing me this information XD

  • I didn't even know this move was in the game until I accidentally pulled it off. I've done if three times now, but am having trouble udnerstanding the controls.

  • the 3 frame forward, 1 release method I use only for a faster charge. (if 7 ore less blocks are missing)

  • Yea. I couldn't do it the faster way either. This one is the best I got.

  • i never could do te full super short charge! only the beginning, because smus stoppet always 1 frame!

  • Ok. Thanks ^^

  • yes! it can be shorter, not hold forward all the time! but it's your first try! ^^ nice try!

  • Thanks, but I think I might have missed a part in the Tips section at TASvideos to make it a bit shorter.

  • you did that great! ^^
